How-to
Generate a proposed goal with AI Goal Builder
Use iSpeax Goal Builder® to generate goal suggestions, choose the one that fits the client or student, and save it to the profile's Proposed list.
Before you begin
Open Profiles, choose the correct client or student, and select Goals. Confirm the profile name before entering clinical or educational information.
Treat the generated suggestions as drafts. Review and correct the selected suggestion before saving it. The suggestions do not replace professional judgment.
Open AI Goal Builder
- Select Add Goal.
- Choose iSpeax Goal Builder®.
The other choices are Open Text and Import. Choose iSpeax Goal Builder® for the steps in this article.
Describe the goal
- In Describe Goal, enter the skill or outcome you want to address.
- Include the information needed to understand the target, such as the skill, setting, or level of support.
- Select Next to continue to Achievement.
Do not include unrelated profile information. A focused description is easier to check against the final suggestion.
Define how achievement will be measured
In Achievement, choose how progress will be measured. One available option is Trials. Complete the fields for the selected measurement, then select Generate with AI.
Choose an AI suggestion
- Read each suggestion in full.
- Check that it targets the intended skill, uses the correct measurement, and sets an appropriate target.
- Select the suggestion you want to continue with.
You can also select Regenerate, Decrease difficulty, or Increase difficulty before choosing a suggestion.
Review and save the proposed goal
- On Review, check the title, goal wording, and achievement.
- Use Edit where available to correct the draft.
- Leave Save as proposed turned on.
- Select Save.
Important: The review screen warns that the achievement cannot be edited after the goal is saved. Check the measurement and target before selecting Save.
When Save as proposed is on, the goal is added to the Proposed list. Move it to Active when it is ready to use in a session.
After you save the goal
iSpeax returns to Goals and opens the Proposed view. The new card displays Proposed, and the message Goal saved successfully confirms the save.
To activate the goal or review the actions available from its menu, see Review and manage goals.
If the generated goal needs changes
- Return to the earlier builder step before saving if the achievement is incorrect.
- Use Regenerate when the suggestions do not reflect the goal.
- Adjust the difficulty only after confirming that the revised target fits the client or student.
- Review spelling, terminology, measurement, and clinical meaning instead of relying on the generated text alone.
Use iSpeax Goal Builder® to generate goal suggestions, choose the one that fits the client or student, and save it to the profile's Proposed list.
